Learning to Lead, Putting Faith into ActionTwo upcoming events offer opportunities to strengthen our ministry and put Christ’s love into practice.
On Saturday, October 17, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., First Christian Church, 130 N. 6th Street, Leavenworth, will host When Everyone Leads, a Kansas Leadership Center program facilitated by David Dubovich and Bill Rose-Heim. Participants will explore how everyone can exercise leadership, regardless of title or position. Through interactive discussions and reflection, we will learn ways to address challenges that matter to our churches and communities. Register by October 10 at bit.ly/4j2uZdN.
Then, on Saturday, November 7, beginning at 9 a.m., volunteers from Northeast Area congregations will gather for the Ottawa Renewal Project at First Christian Church, 1045 S. Hickory Street, Ottawa. Teams will clean, paint, organize, make repairs, and improve the church’s welcoming spaces. Our sister congregation remains committed to ministry but needs additional hands to accomplish this work. Together, we can improve its facility, encourage its members, and remind them they are part of a larger Christian family. To volunteer or discuss tools and supplies, contact Gary Phillips at [email protected] .
Whether we are learning to lead or picking up a paintbrush, each of us has something to contribute. Join us as we become Christ’s hands and feet through service.
“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.”
—1 Peter 4:10 (NIV)”
