About this Event
AI is evolving from simply answering questions to acting as an autonomous system (AI Agent) that can actively plan and complete everyday tasks. This session breaks down modern AI technology using plain language and real-world examples, showing you how to benefit safely while keeping full authority over your important decisions.
What you’ll learn:
- AI vs. AI Agent: Learn how technology has shifted from passive responses to active AI Agents that plan, use tools, and organize tasks like moving from reading a recipe book to having a sous-chef prep your meal.
- Real-World Safety & Convenience: Discover practical examples of AI at work, from real-time fraud prevention at banks like Westpac and CommBank to ambient home sensors that monitor fall risks without requiring wearables.
- You Stay in Control: Understand the Human-in-the-Loop principle AI prepares options, but no key decision or transaction happens without your explicit approval.
Who should attend:
- Adults aged 50+ curious about online safety
- Parents and grandparents guiding young people in the digital world
- Anyone aged 50+ who wants to feel more confident using technology
