Spin & Create: Your First Pot Workshop!Curious about pottery but not ready for a full course? Give the wheel a spin and discover the fun of creating with clay!
We'll kick things off with a 20-minute demonstration of the pottery wheel and the basics of wheel throwing. Then it's your turn! You'll have 2 hours to practice independently, experiment with different shapes, and explore your creativity at your own pace. No experience needed, just bring your curiosity and a willingness to get your hands muddy!
Perfect for a date night, an outing with friends, or a little creative time for yourself. After class, our team will trim, clear-glaze, and fire one of your pieces.
Workshop Details:

⏰ Time: 6:15–8:15 PM (includes 20-minute cleanup)
📍 Location: Beyond Pottery, Burlington, ON
👥 Suitable for: Ages 13+ | Beginners welcome
🎨 Includes: Clay, tools, demonstration, trimming, clear glazing, and firing of one piece

What to Expect:
✨ A quick introduction to wheel throwing
✨ Independent practice and plenty of room to experiment
✨ One selected pot finished by our studio team
Pro Tips for Success:
✨ Short nails make throwing easier, but longer nails are welcome.
✨ Wear clothes you don't mind getting messy or bring an apron.
✨ Arrive on time, the opening demonstration won't be repeated.
✨ The last 20 minutes are for cleaning your wheel and workspace.
Pick-Up Information:
Your finished piece will usually be ready about **3 weeks after class**. We'll email you when it's ready. Please pick it up within one month of notification.
Important Notes:
- Ceramics can crack or be damaged during drying or firing. We cannot guarantee every piece will survive.
