About this Event
New to the kettlebell or think you already have a firm grasp of the basics? Think again.
This hands-on workshop will introduce foundational kettlebell movements and provide practical strategies for incorporating those movements into clinical practice as well as coaching and self practice.
Participants will learn how to safely familiarize themselves with the kettlebell, develop an understanding of key movement patterns, and use these movements to address posture, mobility, stability, and overall movement quality.
Through demonstration, guided practice, and clinical application, students will explore how kettlebell exercises can be modified and progressed based on an individual’s movement limitations, strength, and goals.
Emphasis will be placed on proper technique, body awareness, exercise selection, and using kettlebell movements as a tool for developing efficient and resilient movement.
Movements Covered:
The Kettlebell Deadlift vs. The Kettlebell Squat
Reverse Turkish Get-Up
Overhead Walk, Rack Carry and the Suitcase Carry
The Kettlebell Clean using the DV8 Start
A note from your organizer:
This course is a no brainer; if you are able to attend, take advantage.
You will utilize the most efficient methods for fundamental kettlebell practice which were never found or taught anywhere prior to introduction by Phil Scarito, and you will do so at a tuition rate not offered anywhere else in our program. This is because Scarito will be teaching private workshops for ACSM the day prior, and he is offering this course with a nominal fee as an add-on opportunity prior to traveling home. Take advantage!
And for attending coaches who hold a certification through various personal training certifiying bodies, we will offer you assitance in petitioning for three hours of credit through your PT certifying body.
