What's the Hang-Up? Book Launch
Join us for the official launch of What's the Hang-Up? The Art of Family Politics and Photos, the first book in Tanya A. Perdikoulias's five-book What's the Hang-Up? series.
What began as a Humber research project grew into an exploration of the stories, feelings and family politics hiding inside our photographs.
Why does one person treasure a photo another would rather forget?
Who makes the family wall, and who doesn't?
What happens to photos after divorce, estrangement or loss?
Drawing on conversations with families and research participants, Tanya explores the surprisingly complicated world behind our family photos with warmth, humour and plenty of "I never thought about that" moments.
