Trio Paradis (Jacquelyn Bevan - piano, Ruth O’Shea - violin & Linda Stocks - cello) play a Café Concert at Malmesbury Abbey on the first Tuesday afternoon of each month at 2pm: a 45-minute concert of mostly classical music presented by the performers, often with the addition of a poem or two read by Jackie Tong. Refreshments are available in the abbey café before and after the concert.'What’s in a Name?’ explores the theme of names from two angles: individuals who have inspired particular pieces of music, with musical portraits of Sylvia, Margaret, Susan, Jennifer and Mr Belloc; and composers with amusing or unfortunate names - works by Gelinek, Schytte and others...
