About this Event
No Christmas feast in 17th-century England would have been complete without a traditional mincemeat pie, rich with beef, spices, and dried fruit. While Christmas may not have been celebrated by the reformed congregation of early Plymouth - and beef was a rarity on the table - some residents may nonetheless have had fond memories of holiday seasons in England.
Welcome the holiday week with Museum historians in this fun, hands-on workshop. Learn about Christmas traditions and prepare your own mincemeat pie to bake and serve at your Christmas dinner. Just don’t tell the Governor or the Elder!
This program is best suited for ages 16 and up. Advance registration is required; sign up by December 16.
