A conversation on sustainability & ethics in the fashion industry
About this Event

As the founder of Parisian fashion brand IF COLLECTIONS, I have witnessed first-hand the challenges facing the fashion industry. Beyond the glamour and creativity lies a darker reality, raising questions about sustainability, labour rights and the social impact of fashion.

This presentation explore questions such as:

  • What lies behind the glamour of luxury fashion?
  • Fast fashion and overconsumption
  • Unpaid labor and workers' rights
  • The rise of second-hand fashion
  • The history of cultural appropriation
  • How fashion polices our bodies and the tyranny of beauty standards
  • How can we, as consumers, contribute to change?

The presentation will be followed by a discussion with invited guests from the fashion industry and members of the audience, offering an opportunity to exchange perspectives and reflect together. The evening will conclude with drinks and an opportunity to mingle. The conversation will be held in English.

The venue:
The event will take place in a 1920s ballroom at Les Pavillons de Bercy – Musée des Arts Forains, a unique private museum in Paris.
Metro: Line 14, station Cour St Emilion

The doors will open at 7pm and the presentation will start at 7:30pm
