About this Event

What We Carry, What Is Taken: Venezuela Between Threads brings together the work of three Venezuelan artists: the duo Cazorla + Saleme and Cassandra Mayela Allen. Curated by Andrea Avidad, this exhibition invites viewers to take time to reflect, interrogate, and engage with  recent and ongoing post-Maduro political shifts, as well as with the enduring histories of displacement and migration suffered by Venezuelans for more than a decade, while resisting the logic of rapid sensationalization.
