What makes some questions possible and others difficult to ask? Join us for a conversation about critical qualitative inquiry and how the conditions and relationships through which we live, learn, and work shape the questions we ask and the knowledges we produce.
Professor Rupaleem Bhuyan, DLSPH's inaugural Eakin-Hoffmann Chair in Critical Qualitative Health Research, will explore why critical qualitative inquiry is not simply about developing new research methods, but about cultivating conditions for curiosity and dialogue across different ways of knowing, opening possibilities for questions that may lie just beyond what we currently imagine to be possible.
Following the talk, Ala Refai and Izumi Sakamoto will join as animatrices to share reflections on how their own learning has shifted the questions they ask and how they approach their research, and to pose questions that spark dialogue with the audience.
