What It Takes to Build a FTSE Business
A Fireside Chat with Henry Engelhardt CBE, Founder and CEO Emeritus of Admiral Group
What does it really take to turn an idea into one of the UK’s most successful businesses?
Join us at the NatWest Accelerator for a special fireside conversation with Henry Engelhardt CBE, founder and CEO Emeritus of Admiral Group.
Henry helped build Admiral from the ground up, leading the business through its launch in 1993, its listing on the London Stock Exchange and ultimately its place in the FTSE 100.
But this conversation will go beyond the numbers.
We'll explore the realities of entrepreneurship and hear Henry's candid reflections on building a strong culture, leading people, taking risks, maintaining ambition and navigating the challenges that come with scaling a business.
Now dedicated to mentoring, teaching and sharing the lessons from his journey, Henry brings a wealth of experience that will resonate with entrepreneurs at every stage of building a business.
Expect an open and thought-provoking conversation covering:
- What it really takes to build and scale a successful business
- The decisions and challenges that shaped Admiral's journey
- Why culture and people matter as you grow
- Leadership lessons learned along the way
- Mistakes, setbacks and what Henry would do differently
- Advice for today's founders and entrepreneurs
There will also be an opportunity to put your own questions to Henry.
If you're building a business, leading a growing team or simply have the ambition to create something significant, this is a conversation you won't want to miss.
