What Is Your Rage Trying to Tell You?
An Intergenerational Community Conversation with Dr. Jennifer Mullan
What if your rage isn't simply something to get rid of, calm down, or push away?
Join Dr. Jennifer Mullan, author of Decolonizing Therapy and the forthcoming Sacred Rage, for a free, in-person community gathering exploring what our rage may be trying to tell us about what hurts, what matters, what needs protecting, and what needs to change.
Together, we will explore the messages we receive about anger and rage from our families, communities, cultures, and the world around us—and how race, gender, age, and power can shape whose rage gets heard and whose gets labeled as “too much.” Through conversation, storytelling, a simple body-based practice, and an interactive reflection exercise, we'll get curious about our own rage:
What is my rage protecting?
How can I listen to my anger without letting it make every decision for me?
You do not need to share anything personal to participate.
Come as you are—to talk, write, reflect, listen, laugh, learn, and be in community.
Free and open to teens and adults. No previous experience necessary.
