WHAT IS DESIGN?What exactly is design? And how many different ways can you use it?
On October 17, join us at Bothwell Arts Center for a hands-on “What Is Design” Workshop with Varsha Nene, Principal of Harmony Architects.
This one-day workshop introduces students to the many fields of design, including:
• Graphic design
• Fashion design
• Product design
• Interior design
• Landscape design
• Architecture
• Urban design
But this isn't just a presentation. Students will get hands-on experience creating their own design projects, choosing from several project options and exploring the design fields that interest them most.
The workshop includes:
PART 1 — Explore Design
An interactive introduction to different areas of design and how they shape the world around us.
PART 2 — Make Something
Choose a project and put your ideas into action with hands-on creative work.
PART 3 — Show & Tell
Share your work and ideas with the group.
All art materials are provided.
Whether you're already interested in design or simply curious about how things are created, this workshop is an opportunity to explore, experiment and discover new creative possibilities.
