🐾 Community Nature Education Series Presents: WHAT IS A SERVICE DOG? 🐾📣 Please note: we're switching things up this month! Instead of our usual third Sunday, this program will be held on Thursday morning, October 29.
Join us to learn how service dogs help people who are blind or visually impaired, veterans, and children with autism. This program is led by the team at Guide Dogs of America | Tender Loving Canines, our neighbors in Sylmar, who will bring along a puppy-in-training to show how these remarkable dogs grow from wiggly puppies into trusted partners. 💙
To celebrate the completion of our new Braille Trail, we'll also head outside and walk the trail together (weather permitting!). 🌿
📅 Thursday, October 29, 2026⏰ 9:00–10:00 AM📍 Placerita Canyon Nature Center, 19152 Placerita Canyon Rd, Newhall, CA 91321🎟️ Free event • All ages welcome📞 (661) 259-7721 • ✉️ [email protected]
🐕🦺 A quick note: service dogs are working dogs, even when they're in training! Please do not touch, pet, or call to the dogs without guidance from their handler. The Guide Dogs of America team will let everyone know when it's time to say hello. Thank you for helping them stay focused on their important work!
Know a family, veteran, or dog lover who'd enjoy this? Share it with them! 🧡
