Focusing and the Felt Sense of Relating with Frank Bock and Åsa Opperdoes
This weekend workshop introduces Focusing, a practice developed by Eugene Gendlin, that helps you access the body’s implicit knowing — the felt sense.
Instead of relying on analysis, concepts or client stories, Focusing invites a different kind of attention: one that is slower, more precise, and grounded in lived experience.
🌿 Why this matters
Whether you work with people, bodies or processes, this approach can deepen your ability to:
* stay with what is not yet fully formed
* listen beyond words and interpretations
* support change from within the person’s own experiencing
It is also a powerful practice for your own self-care and inner orientation.
Focusing forms a foundation for many somatic approaches, including Somatic Experiencing (SE).
This weekend workshop offers a grounded and experiential introduction to Focusing as developed by Eugene Gendlin.
Åsa-Maja Opperdoes will offer an additional dimension to the practice of Focusing by integrating nature as an active and supportive part of the process. Through direct contact with the natural world, participants are invited to deepen their inner listening, presence, and embodied awareness.

🧘 What to expect
* A practical, experiential introduction to Focusing
* Learning to sense and stay with the felt sense
* Practicing listening to others in a Focusing-oriented way
* Working in pairs and small groups
* A respectful, informal and gently paced space
No previous experience is needed.
