What if your child is carrying something they don’t know how to tell you?Join us for What I Wish My Parents Knew, a free community film screening and conversation designed to help parents and young people connect, listen, and open the door to the things that are hardest to say.
What I Wish My Parents Knew was created by Tell My Story, a nonprofit founded by Jason Reid after the heartbreaking loss of his 14-year-old son, Ryan, to suicide. Ryan left behind the words “Tell My Story,” inspiring Jason to turn his grief into a mission to help families communicate more openly about youth mental health. Produced in partnership with Oak Hollow Productions, the film gives young people a voice and helps parents better understand the struggles their children may not know how to express.
