What Else is Out There: Unconventional Creative Careers
This month, we are collaborating with our Pathways to Careers programme to bring you an event that explores the unconventional and unexpected paths creative careers can take.
We all know the traditional routes into the arts, but what options are out there for people following a different path? Join us for this panel session to hear from some incredible creative degree alumni to learn about careers you may not have considered, and how to forge your own way in the sector. Expect to hear real experiences, have honest conversations and leave inspired for the next steps in your creative career.

How are we making sure this event is accessible?
If you have any access requirements, please let us know during registration or contact us directly, and we will do our very best to help. There will be seating for 30 guests with standing room for an additional 10 people. Please let us know if you require a seat and we will reserve one for you. Unfortunately, there won't be a BSL interpreter present at the event.
Getting to Bright Red Triangle Startup Studio
Bright Red Triangle Startup Studio is located at Bainfield on the Union Canal in Fountainbridge, Edinburgh. The venue is 2 minutes away from local shops, restaurants, bars, gym and Fountain park and within walking distance to both Haymarket (10 mins) and Waverley train station (25 mins). There are also great bus links across the city, including the Directions.
There is no parking available at the site, but there is limited on-street parking available and charged parking available at Fountain Park. Note: Fountain park provide 4 hours free parking to those who make a purchase at one of the outlets and validate parking with the receipt.
What is Techscaler?
Techscaler is a Scottish Government-funded programme, delivered by CodeBase, and offers tailored support for everyone in Scotland who wants to build a startup, whether they are considering a career in startups or are developing, building and scaling an idea.
