About this Event
What Are You Really Feeling and Why?
Decoding the Language of Emotions
Why do we feel what we feel?
Why can some emotions be easy to recognize, while others are harder to name or understand?
And when a difficult emotion shows up, what is the healthiest way to work with it?
In this experiential mindfulness and emotional awareness class, we’ll explore the fascinating world of emotions and some of the patterns that shape how we experience them.
You’ll be invited to look more closely at your own emotional landscape, become more curious about what may be happening beneath the surface, and explore different ways of relating to difficult feelings.
Through guided awareness practices, discussion and an immersive meditative story, we’ll ask:
What are our emotions really trying to tell us?
Which ways of managing them actually help?
And what changes when we begin to understand them more clearly?
