About this Event
This walking tour of the Old Harbour and passageways of Weymouth takes you into the mystery of "All Hallows Eve" , when the veil between this life and the next is supposed to be at it's thinnest, allowing people to make contact with recently deported souls. We take a look into the darker side of this popular holiday resort. From Saxon massacres, the Black Death, murders, mysteries, and haunted happenings, to a forgotten graveyard, strange spectral sightings, and secretive paths. This fascinating tour takes you into the lesser known history of the area. Tour starts from the Nothe Tavern, Barrack Road, Weymouth, DT4 8TZ on the Friday evening at 20:00hrs and lasts around 90 minutes, finishing in Hope Square, the site of an English Civil War massacre, next to the Red Lion pub – reputedly a haunted!
