About this Event
This year’s theme is “Wet Forest Management” and will feature speakers from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, Wisconsin County Forests, and others presenting the latest research and management initiatives pertaining to “wet” forests in the Great Lakes Region. Topics include Best Management Practices to protect water quality and riparian zones, silvicultural systems, case studies and wildlife management considerations. The second day will have more presentations.
More information can be found at wisaf.org. An agenda and list of speakers and will be added to the webpage as they become available, so check back often. Foresters, land managers and other natural resources professionals from Wisconsin and adjacent states are expected to attend.
There is a limited block of 50 rooms reserved at the Tundra Lodge and Convention Center. You can reserve a room online or call hotel reservations at 920-405-8700 and tell them you are attending the meeting for the Wisconsin Society of American Foresters, Society of American Foresters, WISAF or SAF. The special room rates are available until October 16 or the room block fills. After October 16, the price will triple because of a weekend Packer game, so be sure to register your room early!
There is an "Early Bird" registration price through October 16, with prices rising after that date. Register by 11:00 pm on Friday, October 16 to get the lower rate.
Note - If you wish to donate raffle items to the Forester's Fund Raffle, contact Ron Schneider at [email protected] or call him at (608) 438-6528, or you can just bring the items and drop them off in the morning during registration.
