Wet Felting Workshop – Create Your Own Festive Merino Wool Tree
Join me at Studio Infinara for a relaxed and creative workshop exploring the wonderful, tactile craft of wet felting. Using incredibly soft, premium merino wool sourced from a lovely UK-based supplier, you will learn how to bind loose wool fibres together using water, soap, and friction to shape a stunning, 3D festive tree standing approximately 26cm (10 inches) tall.
Add a Touch of Seasonal Shimmer
To give your creation a truly magical, festive finish, you will have the chance to blend specialised accent fibres into your wool:
- Glistening Synthetic Fibres: Available in rich Christmas red and deep festive green to add a subtle, elegant sheen.
- Sparkling Angelina Fibres: Available in classic gold, bright silver, and a magical white iridescent finish to capture that perfect winter sparkle.
As a local artist, I have been creating art my whole life and have more than a decade of teaching experience. I will guide you through the wet felting process step-by-step, so no prior crafting experience is necessary!
What you’ll do
During the workshop you will:
- Learn the core principles of wet felting using premium UK merino wool
- Design your own festive tree layout with custom colours, patterns, and textures
- Blend glistening or sparkling accent fibres to create garlands, baubles, or a snowy effect
- Sculpt and form loose wool into a sturdy, seamless 3D tree shape
- Mount your finished tree onto a wooden display base to take home

- High-quality merino wool fibres

- All necessary soap, water, and specialised felting equipment
- A wooden tree display base (creating a finished piece approximately 26cm tall)

- Complimentary first hot drink and plenty of fun conversations to fuel your creative reset
Just bring yourself and enjoy a creative experience. Because wet felting involves soap and water, you may wish to wear casual, comfortable clothing.
A relaxed creative space
Workshops are kept small with a maximum of 14 people so everyone receives individual support. Whether you are completely new to working with textiles or returning to it, you will be guided through the process in a friendly and encouraging environment.
Spaces are limited
This workshop is limited to just 14 places, so early booking is recommended.
To ensure a peaceful environment where everyone can truly unwind, our workshops are designed for guests aged 18 and over.
