Wet felting is based on an ancient craft with a modern twist. Learn the basics by creating a decorative picture using wool roving or combed wool fibres. You will explore various techniques such as using pre-felts, silk fibres, yarns and scraps of chiffon and silk fabrics for design effects. Using just water, a little soap and lots of rubbing and agitation, watch the wool fibres transform magically into your own piece of textile art.
All materials and equipment will be supplied, though you're welcome to bring along your own inspirational images and we’ll provide the tea, coffee and homemade cakes.
This workshop is suitable for those with little or no experience in wet felting.
The class will be led by Catherine from Handmade Workshops.
