~ WEST COAST SWING ~Intermediate Bootcamp Series (Parts 1-4)

These WCS Intermediate+ Level drop-in classes are for anyone with solid basics! Registration/pre-payment is required as attendance is limited to try and maintain a good role balance, so it's in your best interest to find a partner (dancing the other role) to sign up with (although not required)!
SKILL REQUIREMENT:
You should have solid basics, being able to do these foundational patterns on your own and with a partner: 4-count closed position starter step; pushes (push break/sugar push, front/sugar tuck); side passes (left side pass, under arm pass, passing tuck, right torque turn, spinning side pass); and whip (same side, basic). If in doubt, let's chat.

SCHEDULE:
12:30 - 12:45 pm: Check In/Meet + Greet/Warm Up
12:45 pm: Doors Close (no latecomers!)
12:45 - 2:15 pm: Instruction

Registration confirmation will be sent by email and will include payment options/deadlines. Pre-payment is required to spend less time checking in.😉 If you can't make it for any reason, you'll receive a full refund.
FRAGRANCE POLICY:
Please refrain from wearing scented products like perfume, cologne, body spray, etc. (deodorant is fine and encouraged!) as I am highly allergic. They are a chemical irritant to my system, even pleasant smelling scents, and either you or I will have to leave the room so I can breathe, and I'm the teacher so ... 😉

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:
Adela is a an All Star/Masters competitor, GPDIA certified dance instructor, judge, long-time volunteer/community leader (including past-President/Board of Director) with the Charlottesville Swing Dance Society (CSDS), and volunteer (Ombudsman Committee/Chair, Events Committee, Hall of Fame Committee) with the World Swing Dance Council (WSDC). At The Open Swing Dance Championships in 2022, Adela and husband Eddie were the recipients of the first Masters Community Inspiration Award. They have been teaching in Charlottesville/Central Virginia for 25+ years with a fondness for technique/drills instruction; they offer private lessons, hold group classes and host the occasional dance. Adela + Eddie study with the top professionals to improve their dancing and for teacher training, and enjoy sharing their knowledge and experiences with others. You can see Adela in action here:
