About this Event

Event Schedule

10:30 AM – Gather & Introduction (5 mins)

  • Meet at the designated main entrance at Victoria Park. We’ll welcome participants and provide an overview of the event.

10:35 AM – Joint Education & Walking Techniques (15 mins)

  • Focus on one of the six key joints during this session. Guided by insights from The Way to Walk workbook, our Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist will demonstrate proper walking techniques and highlight common pitfalls to avoid.

10:50 AM – Dynamic Warm-Up (10 mins)

  • Engage in dynamic warm-up exercises designed to prepare your muscles and joints for the walk.

11:00 AM – 3km Walk (33 mins)

  • Embark on a guided, paced 3km walk along a scenic, one-way route through Victoria Park. Our expert will support you throughout the walk to ensure you maintain an effective pace while practising proper techniques.

11:33 AM – Warm Down (10 mins)

  • Participate in cool-down exercises and stretches to help your muscles recover and reduce any post-walk stiffness.

11:43 AM – Q&A Session (10 mins)

  • A session dedicated to participant feedback and questions. Share your experiences and get expert advice on integrating these techniques into your daily routine.

11:53 AM – Celebration

  • We’ll conclude with a brief celebration of the session’s achievements, recognising everyone’s effort and progress.

12:00 PM – Event Concludes
