We have a limited number of yoga mats available onsite so if you have your own, please bring it.

Bring a blanket, pillow, extra yoga mat, or other items to make yourself comfortable as you will be laying down, although we can accomodate those required to be seated. A bottle of water is also recommended to stay hydrated in the class.

Conscious connected breathing is a breathing technique where you breathe in a continuous, circular pattern without any pauses between the inhale and exhale. This process can lead to profound physical, emotional, and mental benefits.

Physical Benefits:
  1. Increased Oxygen Flow: By using deep, continuous breathing, more oxygen reaches your cells, which can help with detoxification and promote better circulation.
  2. Relaxation of the Nervous System: The deep, rhythmic nature of the practice stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system, which can reduce stress and promote a state of calm and relaxation.
  3. Improved Cardiovascular and Respiratory Function: This practice stimulates both systems which can lead to improved function over time.

Emotional and Mental Benefits:
  1. Emotional Release: The breathing pattern can help unlock stored emotions in the body. Some people experience the release of unresolved feelings, such as sadness, anger, or grief, in a safe and supportive environment.
  2. Stress Reduction: The practice can lower cortisol levels (the stress hormone) and activate the body's relaxation response, helping to reduce anxiety and tension.
  3. Mental Clarity: It helps clear mental fog and can lead to a more focused, grounded state. It may also promote heightened awareness, helping you access deeper parts of your consciousness.
  4. Improved Emotional Regulation: Regular breathwork practice can lead to better control over emotional responses, helping individuals navigate challenging situations with a greater sense of calm.

Possible Experiences During a Session:
  • Heightened Awareness: As you breathe, you may experience a state of deep presence, feeling more attuned to your body, emotions, and the world around you.
  • Visualization: Some people report vivid mental images or visions, which can provide insight or a sense of personal clarity.
  • Altered States of Consciousness: Breathing in this way can bring about a shift in consciousness, which may be similar to a meditative or trance-like state. This is often referred to as an expanded state of awareness.
  • Physical Sensations: Tingling sensations, warmth, or even vibrations in the body can occur, as energy moves through the system.
  • Release of Blockages: Deep-seated emotions or past trauma can surface, and people may cry or laugh as a natural release of tension or blockages.

The goal of conscious connected breathing is to create space for healing, clarity, and transformation, both on a physical and emotional level. Each experience can be unique, and the more you practice, the more attuned you may become to what your body and mind need.

Classes are free and donations to the instructor will be accepted at the event but are not required.

Your name and email will be shared with the instructor.

Bio for Instructor Jonathan Herrera:

For over eight years, breathwork has been my personal sanctuary—a practice that transformed my life so profoundly that I devoted myself to two years of intensive study to become an Inspire Breathwork Facilitator.
My journey with the breath has revealed to me its extraordinary power to dissolve energetic blockages and dismantle the limiting beliefs that hold us back from our true potential. This firsthand experience ignited a passion within me: to guide others toward the same liberation I've discovered.
In my sessions, I create a sacred, supportive environment where you can safely explore the depths of your being. Through intentional breathing techniques, I'll guide you to places within yourself where healing naturally emerges—where emotional wounds can transform into wisdom and where disconnection gives way to wholeness.
What drives me is witnessing the moment when someone experiences their own breakthrough—that beautiful instant when breath creates space for transformation, and they glimpse their unlimited potential. These moments of awakening are why I do this work.
My commitment is to walk alongside you on your journey toward emotional and spiritual freedom, offering the techniques and presence I've cultivated through years of dedicated practice and study. Together, we'll harness the simple yet profound power of breath to unlock the extraordinary within you.
