The walk will leave opposite the bus at the junction of Kingsway and Star Lane at 9:45am on Wednesday.
The Ramblers Wellbeing Walks in Medway (also known as Medway Health Walks) invite you along to one of our regular walks across the Medway Towns.
Creating a safe and enjoyable walking experience is a shared responsibility. We ask all walkers to follow agreed group guidelines and respect planned routes, which have been carefully developed and assessed to support the wellbeing, safety and enjoyment of everyone taking part.
Our walks are not only popular with local residents; they also attract visitors keen to experience the best of Medway's outdoors and community spaces, often inspiring them to return and explore independently.
Our walks are a great way to enjoy being active, discover local green spaces and meet new people. For many participants, they also provide the confidence to take part in other Walk in the Park sessions and explore Medway's wider network of walking routes.
When a walk has no walk leader, then we advise you go for a walk yourself so you do not miss out.
If you're joining us for the first time, please contact [email protected] before attending your walk so we can register you and help you get the most from the programme.
All walking routes are subject to a risk assessment. While routes are planned to avoid significant hazards such as steep hills, large numbers of steps, and excessively muddy or slippery surfaces wherever possible, participants should be aware that Medway's natural landscape includes some hills, slopes, and uneven terrain. Walkers are therefore advised to be prepared for conditions that are appropriate to the advertised level and difficulty of the walk.
Grade 4: Suitable for walkers who are interested in walking for their health. Walks are up to 75 minutes and generally just over 3 miles. Walks will include slopes and less rest stops than the normal grade 3 walks.
Participant Responsibility and Disclaimer:
By joining any walk or activity, you acknowledge and accept that participation is undertaken at your own risk. In the event of an accident, injury, loss, or damage, however caused, no legal liability will be accepted by the walking group, its organisers, affiliated organisations, volunteers, leaders, coordinators, or any associated individuals.
Participants are responsible for assessing their own fitness and ability to take part, as well as for ensuring their personal safety and the suitability of any equipment they choose to use.
Please note that walk leaders, route leaders, volunteers, and coordinators are not medically qualified professionals. If you have any medical condition or health concern that may affect your ability to participate safely in an activity, you should seek advice from your GP or another appropriately qualified healthcare professional before taking part.
