Task: The start of autumn means it's time to gather seeds so we will start with collecting tree seeds to grow on at our tree nursery. If we have time there will also be tree planting, cutting back vegetation and litter picking.
Timings (please note these timings are approximate):
13.00: Arrival for a picnic
13:30 Safety and task briefing
14:45 Have a cuppa and finish for the day.
What to Bring:
Please bring your gloves (we will have spares) and dress for the weather and the task.
Long trousers are advisable as there may be ticks and thorny vegetation. We also recommend wearing steel toe capped or sturdy boots rather than trainers.
Wear layers that you can remove if you get hot whilst working. Bring a waterproof as most of our sites have no shelter from the rain. If it's sunny you may aslo want to bring sun cream.
Please bring plenty of fluids and don't forget your packed lunch. We will bring a tea kit and biscuits.
Please note:
Biscuits are served at all Chiltern Rangers sessions. Please advise if you have an allergy.
