❄️ SNOW IS COMING BACK TO PUKETĀPAPA! ❄️And this time, there’s even more happening!
On Saturday 20th March 2027, Welcome to Puketāpapa and Recovery in Roskill are joining together for one big FREE Welcome to Puketāpapa Day at Wesley Community Centre and Roskill Youth Zone.
📅 Saturday 20 March 2027
⏰ 10am–3pm
📍 Wesley Community Centre & Roskill Youth Zone, 740 Sandringham Road, Mt Roskill
💛 FREE for the whole whānau
Come along for a huge FREE snow-play area, activities, entertainment, FREE ice creams and hot chocolates, and plenty of fun for the kids.
🍦☕ The ice creams and hot chocolates are on us!
🍛🥟🌮 Bring some money to enjoy kai from our fantastic local ethnic food stalls too.
But this day is also about something bigger – bringing our community together and building a stronger Puketāpapa.
Welcome to Puketāpapa is a chance to meet the local organisations, community groups and services that are here for you and your whānau. Find out what is happening locally, what support is available and how you can get involved in your neighbourhood.
AND YOU GET TO HELP DECIDE HOW $150,000 IS SPENT IN OUR COMMUNITY!
Following the 2023 floods, thousands of local people helped identify what Wesley and Roskill need to recover, become more resilient and be stronger for the future.
Local people, groups and organisations are now putting forward their own ideas for projects that respond to those priorities.
Then you decide what gets funded.
There is no panel making the final decision. Our community votes.
Voting for Recovery in Roskill projects will run from 13th–21st March, and Welcome to Puketāpapa will be our big community voting day.
So come for the snow, grab a free ice cream or hot chocolate, enjoy some great local food, meet the people and organisations working in your neighbourhood - and cast your vote for the projects you want to see happen.
Local ideas. Local decisions. By community, for community.
Because recovery isn't only about what we rebuild after a flood. It's also about the connections, support and strength we build together for whatever comes next.
