About this Event
Join us for a friendly weekly social bike ride through Preston’s parks and green spaces, running from October to December 2026. Enjoy a gentle pedal beside the river, through woodlands and around Avenham and Miller Parks, with relaxed stretches along nearby off-road paths.
Distance: approximately 5+ miles at an easy, sociable pace.
What to expect:
· A small, friendly group of people cycling together, led by a qualified ride leader
· Scenic parks, waterways and woodland, including Avenham Park, Miller Park, Preston Docks, the Marina and the banks of the River Ribble
· Mainly traffic-free paths and local cycle routes, chosen for a relaxed ride
· Finishing with a refreshment stop at the Hub (donations welcome), with plenty of time to pause, chat and enjoy the company
No bike? No problem! Bring your own or borrow one of our refurbished bikes and a helmet free of charge.
Supportive, welcoming and open to you
· Build your confidence to help you get back in the saddle
· Ride a little more or a little further, with friendly company beside you

Time: 12.30–2.00 pm
Simply dress for the weather, bring your sense of adventure and come along for fresh air, gentle exercise and good company. We ask for a small donation towards tea/coffee and biscuits at the Hub.
If you wish to borrow a bike and helmet please arrive a few minutes early so we can get a bike ready for you
Parking is available for a small charge at Fishergate car park opposite the train station
