About this Event
For the last three years I've been teaching watercolour classes at Waterstones in Brighton & I've forever wanted to start teaching lino printing - and we're finally there! Some photos in the banner include pictures from the watercolour classes so you can see the vibe of the classes. But I assure you we will be doing lino printing!
See themes timetable for this month - Click this link which will take you to my linktree, there you'll find the timetable at the top!
These classes are very low pressure so if you're someone who's a bit anxious about starting art again, or trying it for the first time, this genuinely is a really good place to start. Many people who come to the class haven't dont art since school but end up really enjoying the experience (even if it goes a bit wonky!). Whether you want to just come to one session, or many! You're welcome to to do whatever fits with your schedule / life.
Even though we have a running theme for these months, there's no obligation to commit to multiple classes. Turn up to as many as you feel!

Who's it for:
These classes are most suitable for beginners, but if you already have knowledge of art you never know what new thing you might learn
Each week we will have a new theme:
In each session you'll get a A6 piece of lino to create a design on. Before cutting, we will create a design on paper and transfer it onto the lino. The drawing process will be guided & we will follow a new theme each week - usually nature!
Depending on the complexity of the design we may print with two colours. Most classes we will likely print with one colour as the session is short.
What's included:
All materials are supplied 🖌️ 🎨
YOUR TUTOR
Hi I'm Zara your tutor!
I have been teaching watercolours since 2023 and it is my passion! I'm really looking foward to starting to teach lino printing too. All of my classes are aimed at total beginners, my mission is to show people they can learn art in a fun and relaxing way without pressure of being 'good' or making a 'masterpiece'.
I have been teaching about 4-5 times a week for the last few years and have a growing & beautiful community of people who are learning art, having fun and doing something kind for themselves every week.
My classes are often related to the seasons & aim to connect students (and myself) to the nature that surrounds us. I love to include themes in my classes that relate to local / British wildlife.
If you have any questions about coming to my classes or anything else, feel free to message or email me!
