About this Event
Rewiring Your Inner Critic: A Residential Weekend Retreat
That inner voice telling you you're not ready, you'll fail, or you'll be found out isn't the truth, it's an outdated protection system. This intimate weekend retreat, limited to just 10 guests, is built around transforming that harshest inner critic into your most supportive inner coach, using a blend of evidence-based coaching, somatic mind-body work, mindfulness and deep rest.
What sets it apart
This isn't positivity-bootcamp territory. Your facilitator brings professional training across trauma-informed coaching, strategic life coaching, somatic mind-body coaching and healing, relationship coaching, mindfulness and reiki, so the weekend is designed to work with your nervous system, not push against it. Every practice is invitation-based: nobody is made to share, and rest is always an option. With only ten guests, it's a small, supported group where nobody gets lost in the crowd.
The weekend, day by day
Friday evening is about landing softly - arriving to hot drinks and a warm welcome, a pressure-free opening circle to set intentions, and a comforting home-cooked supper. The first workshop, Meeting Your Inner Critic, explores where self-doubt really comes from, before the day closes with a deeply restorative guided yoga nidra.
Saturday is the full immersion - the day for the body, the evidence, and a new inner voice. It opens with an optional sunrise meditation and a leisurely breakfast, moving into The Body Keeps the Score, a somatic workshop on where self-doubt lives physically and how to calm it in seconds. Outdoor grounding leads into a homemade lunch, then an afternoon mindful nature walk that shifts from silent reflection into a gentle paired practice of speaking to yourself like a friend. The Building the Evidence workshop has guests creating a personal "Past Wins Inventory", real proof of capability, before an unstructured Reiki & Rest Hour with optional complimentary reiki sessions. The evening brings a curry feast followed by the retreat's emotional centrepiece: a workshop and fire ceremony where guests craft personal power phrases and release limiting beliefs into the fire, closing with a candlelit wind-down and hot chocolate.
Sunday morning is about integration - an optional loving-kindness meditation and baked breakfast, followed by a Living the Practice workshop where guests build a personalised 30-day rewiring plan (with troubleshooting and an optional "doubt buddy" for ongoing support), before a closing circle and an afternoon departure.
With only 10 places available, this is a deliberately small, deeply held space, for anyone whose inner voice is already saying "this isn't for people like you."
