Forest Bathing & Walking Meditation | Vana Vista Yoga
Morning Forest Bathing & Walking Meditation
Join us in person for a morning of reconnecting with our origins in nature ~ a kind of presence that's encoded in our own DNA.
Modern life keeps our "directed attention" constantly on demand. But in natural spaces, our attention can soften and wander effortlessly, giving that precious resource a chance to restore. We'll open with gentle yoga stretching to ground the body, then move into this practice together through Shinrin-yoku (forest bathing).
Duration: 2 hours
Schedule:
- Yoga stretch & intention setting — 30 minutes
- Walking meditation — 30 minutes
- Shinrin-yoku (seated) — 30 minutes
- Tea & community sharing — 30 minutes
Accessibility: Easy terrain, approximately 1 mile walked at a slow, relaxed pace. Shinrin-yoku will be practiced seated for 30 minutes (this is why we recommend bringing a blanket). Long sleeves and pants suggested to prevent poison ivy and/ or ticks. Best to be safe
What to bring:
- Comfortable walking shoes
- Dress comfortably in layers
- Water
- A blanket to sit or lay on
Hosted by Vana Vista Yoga
