Join Leisa Clark for a hands-on workshop designed specifically for artists. In this full-day session, we’ll move beyond the “hobby” phase and build your professional portfolio website on the WIX platform from the ground up. You’ll walk away with a ready to publish website, a professional portfolio/gallery, and a clear process for handling enquiries.
What we will cover:
-Setting up your Website account on WIX and choosing your domain.
-Structuring your site pages: Home page, Gallery/Portfolio Page, About/Commissions Page and Contact Page
-Writing the website content that will help your customers get to Know Like and Trust you.
-SEO basics: Learn the basics of getting your website found online
-By the end of the day you will have 4 pages ready to publish. Please note we will not be covering ecommerce/online shop in this workshop.
Cost of Workshop:
-Pop’d Members: $180 (please email Leisa at [email protected] for this discount code if you are a Pop’d Artist with a live directory listing).
-Non-Members: $220
This includes a catered lunch, tea, and coffee throughout the day. (please add dietary requirement at checkout)
Other Costs:
Website Hosting: Please be aware that to keep your website live and ad-free, Wix requires a hosting subscription (currently $21 AUD per month). E-commerce/Online Shop: This workshop focuses on building a professional portfolio site. It does not cover setting up an e-commerce shop. Should you choose to add an online store later, Wix requires a Business Plan (currently $41 AUD per month).
What you need to bring:
-Laptop (pleaes note Ipads are not acceptable as you won't be able to edit the WIX website on a ipad, you need a laptop)
-Images/Photos of your artwork on the Laptop
-Your Artist Bio (we will be using this to help write the copy/wording on your website)
-Access to your email on that Laptop, this is important for setting up the WIX account
-Ability to pay for Wix account using Credit Card or PayPal

About your facilitator
Leisa Clark
Founder of Pop’d Art Hub, Owner and designer at Retrohex (Graphic and Web Design Studio), and Visual Artist at Leisa Clark Artist. Leisa Clark is a multidisciplinary creative who blends her passion for art, design, and digital innovation. In 2024, Leisa opened the Pop’d Art Studio in Toowoomba, which she operated for eighteen months. This physical space provided dedicated studio areas for local artists and creative workshops for locals. The experience gave Leisa significant insight into the unique challenges that regional artists face, serving as the primary catalyst for building the Pop’d Art Hub.
Dedicated to lifelong learning, Leisa continuously expands her expertise in design, digital marketing, and entrepreneurship, having served as a Digital Business Advisor and co-founder of Eat Digital, a marketing education group. She remains actively involved in the startup and creative communities, championing artists and small business owners alike. She also runs the Toowoomba Artist Community Facebook Group alongside Nury Barros where artists can share their journey online in a supportive community. Whether designing, painting, or fostering artistic connections, Leisa is passionate about creating spaces, both digital and physical, where creativity can thrive.
