A 5Rhythms® Waves Workshop
A dance to come together, honor life and death, gently let go, and make space for renewal, connection, and new beginnings as we welcome 2027.
As we gather to welcome the new year, we invite you into a shared space of movement, connection, and celebration.
Through dance, simple rituals, storytelling, and moments of stillness, we will honor life and death, acknowledge what has been, and gently let go of what no longer serves us.
Guided by the 5Rhythms® Waves practice of Flowing, Staccato, Chaos, Lyrical, and Stillness, we will explore movement as a pathway to presence, expression, and connection. Each rhythm invites us to listen to our bodies, discover our own dance, and move freely between the individual and the collective.
Together, we will explore the beauty of giving and receiving, witnessing and being witnessed, supporting and being supported. Through movement and shared experiences, we will weave our individual stories into something larger than ourselves, honoring our uniqueness and celebrating our shared humanity.
WEAVERS RAQS is an invitation to come together as a community, to honor endings and welcome beginnings, and to step into the new year with a sense of renewal, rejuvenation, and possibility.
Whether you have danced the 5Rhythms for years or are stepping onto the dance floor for the first time, you are welcome. There are no steps to learn, no right or wrong way to move, and no previous experience necessary.
Come as you are. Bring your story, your presence, and your willingness to move.
Together, we dance. Together, we weave. Together, we welcome 2027.

Workshop Level Details
A Gabrielle Roth 5Rhythms® Waves workshop is the foundation of the entire body of 5Rhythms work. It offers an opportunity to deepen our physical expression and understanding of the five essential rhythms and their polarities.
Prerequisites
No prerequisites are required.
This workshop counts as 4 hours of Waves for those on the 5Rhythms Teacher Training path.

Nima's journey into movement began in 2018 during a profound period of personal transformation. Born in Iran amid revolution, war, and religious persecution, he found healing, connection, and a renewed sense of belonging through 5Rhythms® and other embodied practices.
As an entrepreneur and founder, his journey bridges spirituality, creativity, leadership, and service. Through his teaching, Nima creates welcoming spaces rooted in authenticity, courage, inclusivity, and community, inviting people to discover their own dance and connect more deeply with themselves and one another.

Venmo Payment Option
To save on processing fees, you may send your payment through Venmo and select the $0.00 registration option on Eventbrite to reserve your spot and receive all future workshop updates and communications.
Important: Payment must be received within 24 hours of registration. If payment is not received within that time, your registration will be canceled, and your spot may be released to another participant.
Refund Policy
Life happens, and we understand that plans sometimes change.
If you are unable to attend, please contact Nima. Depending on the circumstances, you may be eligible for a 50% refund of your original payment.
Liability Release
By registering for this workshop, I acknowledge that I intend to participate in physical activity and voluntarily assume responsibility for any risks, injuries, or damages, known or unknown, that may occur as a result of my participation.
I agree to release Nima Yazdanfar, 5Rhythms Global, and Dance Loft on 14 from liability related to personal injury or illness that may result from my attendance and participation, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Getting Here
Metro: Georgia Ave–Petworth is the closest Metro station, approximately a 20-minute walk or a 7–10-minute bike ride from Dance Loft on 14.
Bus: S1, S2, S4, and S9 routes serve the 16th Street corridor. Routes 52, 53, and 54 serve the 14th Street corridor. Check current WMATA schedules and stops before traveling.
Bike: Capital Bikeshare is available in the neighborhood, including near 14th and Crittenden Streets.
Parking: Street parking is available along 14th Street and in surrounding neighborhoods. Please check posted signs for payment requirements and parking restrictions.
