Weave your own decorative willow stars to bring in the festive season.Create your own beautiful willow stars in this relaxed, festive workshop inspired by traditional natural craft.
Over two hours, you'll learn simple willow weaving techniques as we make two different star designs to decorate your home throughout the winter season. Once your stars are woven, you can personalise them with warm fairy lights, seasonal foliage, ribbons, dried seed heads or other natural decorations to suit your own style, all of which are provided.
If time allows, we'll also explore a few additional festive willow decorations, such as woven trees, reindeer or other simple seasonal shapes, giving you the chance to experiment and leave with even more handmade decorations.
No previous weaving experience is needed. This workshop is designed for complete beginners as well as anyone looking for a creative, mindful way to spend an afternoon. You'll be guided step-by-step, learning techniques that you can continue to use for future willow projects at home.
All willow, tools and decorative materials are provided, along with warm drinks and a welcoming atmosphere. Simply come along, slow down, enjoy working with your hands, and leave with a collection of unique festive decorations made by you.
