Weave a Double-Bottom Gathering Basket | A Full-Day Workshop at Tyee Arts
Saturday September 26th, 10-4PM
This is the perfect basket for carrying a round dish to your next potluck! The double-bottom gathering basket is a sturdy asset to your home and useful for many purposes. No experience is needed to craft this beautiful basket. The morning will be devoted to learning to work with reed and prepare your base. After lunch we will complete the basket and everyone will go home with a completed treasure.

What to Bring:
- 5 Gallon Bucket
- Bath size Towel
- Garden Clippers
- Awl
- Clothespins ~20
- Heavy weight: a brick or sadiron, or find rocks on the land
Please Note: We never want to cancel a workshop, and we have a 5 participant minimum in order for this workshop to take place — we'd love your help getting there. Tyee Arts is a young events space, so word of mouth means everything to us. Please share with friends and family who might want to join. If minimum enrollment isn't met, we'll let you know ~24 hours in advance and issue a full refund.
