On November 21st, Papa Muse will host the second annual Wear Vibrant Colors show at the Nocturnal Cafe in downtown Ithaca.New Papa Muse Album:
This performance will be the Dare to Dance Album Advance, a full-length album that Papa Muse began working on seven years ago. And while the album will not be available to the public until January 15th, attendees of Wear Vibrant Colors 2 will get early access to the album.
Potluck Dinner:
Like last year, there will once again be a scrumptious potluck dinner that starts at 6:30 p.m., followed by a plethora of talented musical acts starting at 7:00 p.m. Feel free to bring a dish to share (plates and utensils will be provided), but do not bring drinks, as the Nocturnal Cafe will provide an elaborate selection.
Come wearing vibrant colors and be part of our live music video shoot! There will also be viewing areas and comfortable seating for those camera-shy, bashful folks.
Performers
Papa Muse
With a deep-rooted history in the Ithaca music scene—as former producer of Musefest, the Band and Breakfast, and other innovative endeavors—Papa Muse has spent the last decade fervently devoted to his musical craft. The songwriter continually presents a compelling live performance, and on this special night, he will perform with his full band and even a few guests. They will play tracks from the upcoming Dare to Dance album, along with a few newer tunes.
Public Water Supply
Hailing from Rochester, Public Water Supply is a powerhouse 4-piece outfit blending danceable and cosmic outlaw country with high-octane psychedelic indie rock. Driven by soaring and uniquely distinctive lead vocals, dazzling guitar work, and an irresistible groove, their electrifying live show delivers an unforgettable, genre-bending punch.
Madd Daddy
Featuring powerhouse vocalist Maddy Walsh (of Maddy Walsh & The Blind Spots) alongside her father, Ted Walsh, this beloved Ithaca father-daughter duo will join the party with a set filled with unexpected covers, "blood harmonies," and finger-picked acoustic guitar. Expect seamless chemistry, charm, and maybe a rare original woven into the mix.
Lady Loveday & Max Moses
Lady Loveday & Max Moses will share the stage, swapping songs starting at 7:00 p.m. Each has something unique to offer:
Lady Loveday: Loveday Greene brings her signature "swoon country" to the stage, blending theatrical vocal power with raw, cinematic storytelling. With a background spanning opera, rock, and country, her intoxicating voice creates an atmosphere that is equal parts tender and twangy.
Max Moses: Known as a driving force behind Ithaca favorite Cast Iron Cowboys, Max Moses joins us for a solo set blending soulful country blues, fingerstyle guitar, and heartfelt songwriting and storytelling.
Tickets: $10 in advance or $15 at the door. You'll be able to purchase physical tickets at the Nocturnal Cafe or online. Ticket link coming shortly! Be sure to secure your tickets early, as this show might sell out.
