Weaning Well: Health, Stress & Performance
Weaning is a key time for beef calves, but it can also be a period of increased stress and disease risk. This practical farm meeting will focus on how to keep calves healthier, reduce stress and help them maintain performance through weaning.
Helen Carty (SRUC Vet) cover respiratory diseases that can affect calves, plus updates on Bluetongue virus and the Scottish BVD eradication scheme.
Alfonso Camassa from Ferappease will give an overview of what Ferappease is and how it can be used on farm to help reduce stress in cattle.
There will be lots of opportunities to discuss and questions.
Join us for an informative and interactive session, with plenty of opportunity to ask questions and discuss practical challenges with the speakers.
What will you learn?
