WeABL Farmers Market: We Activate Black Lands
Saturday, October 17, 2026 | 12–6 PM
Join us for a day of Black food, culture, creativity, and community! The WeABL Farmers Market brings together Black farmers, ranchers, artisans, and neighbors to celebrate Black land stewardship and build a circular local economy—one where our dollars support local growers, makers, and communities.
Shop farm-grown goods and value-added products, enjoy Black-owned food trucks, and pick up custom merch featuring designs by local Black artist Nia Musiba. Stay for local Black DJs, line dancing, storytelling booths, resource tables, family-friendly fun, and more!
Why WeABL?
WeABL stands for We Activate Black Lands. This community activation initiative is rooted in Black-led land stewardship and a circular local economy.
Black history is inseparable from land. From land stolen and denied to land cultivated, protected, and carried forward anyway, land has always been a site of struggle and possibility for Black communities.
WeABL exists to ground our work and economy in living practice:
• Relationship instead of abstraction
• Stewardship instead of symbolism
• Collective responsibility instead of one-time action
This market is a beginning: an invitation to build lasting relationships, practice stewardship, and share responsibility for a thriving Black agricultural future.
This is how history becomes ourstory.
