We Were Born in a Flame brings together the work of Detroit painter Dennis Jones, Detroit ceramicist Chris Riddell, and Williamston ceramic sculptor Mark Chatterley. This exhibition looks to the human head as a location for existential metaphor. Both the private and public predicament of existence. The work in the show WWBF celebrates raised texture, roughness, aggressive touch, and earthiness.
The exhibition opening will be held at The Grey Rabbit in East Grand Rapids.
It will be free and open to the public.
There is no cost to attend. No tickets are required.
