WE LOVE AN ICON! The LGBTQ+ community and the celebrities we embrace

An event that explores and celebrates the community's obsession with ‘icons’ from Bosco to Cher. Why is there such adoration for certain icons? How can this fandom be reciprocated? And what does it say about the LGBTQ+ community?

There will be a panel discussion, drag performances and interactive discussions in this Science Week event, featuring drag performer Ariana Grindr, author/researcher/Traitor Páraic Kerrigan, and ShoutOut Executive Director Ruadhán Ó Críodáun, and hosted by content producer/writer Michael Peers.
