About this Event
Join this local author for another conversation and book signing event for her new memoir, WE Grew Up Together, Volume I of the Broken Glass memoir series. This entails an intimate and powerful story of healing, survival, and faith.
This first memoir, known as The Red Book, tells the author’s true story of growing up in poverty, becoming a teenage mother, and navigating childhood trauma, while beginning a lifelong journey of healing and finding God. Told with honesty and vulnerability, WE Grew Up Together reflects on the people, environments, and experiences that shaped her early life, and how God met her in the broken places.
The Broken Glass series is uniquely color-coordinated, with each book’s color carrying a symbolic meaning connected to the story it tells. Red represents pain, sacrifice, love, and the beginning of transformation, the foundation of the healing journey.
