About this Event
In today's fast-paced media landscape, the ability to master audio storytelling and deliver compelling broadcast news is beyond an essential when it comes to presenting stories. This workshop is specifically designed to move beyond theory and give practical, hands-on experience in two critical areas:
Practical Podcasting: From concept development and technical production to effective distribution, you will learn the essentials to make a high-quality podcast that amplifies voices and breaks through the noise.
Presenting a News Bulletin: You'll gain crucial insights into the art of broadcast delivery, focusing on vocal technique, on-air confidence, and the precision required to present a clear, authoritative, and engaging news summary.
We believe amazing events should be accessible to everyone. That’s why we’re offering a £20 Accessibility Fund for every single attendee to help cover travel, support, or whatever else you need to get here! This will be paid to you upon completion of the workshop via a follow up email we'll send to you directly.
Our goal during this workshop is to empower you - our Black journalists and aspiring media professionals - with specialised skills that will not only advance your careers but also enrich the diversity of perspectives heard across all platforms. Get ready to learn, network, and transform your skills!
