About this Event
2nd Annual Utah’s Dixie History Preservation Gala
Event hosted by the Washington County Historical Society (WCHS). This special evening brings together friends, neighbors, and community members to celebrate the rich heritage of our area and ensure the history of Utah’s Dixie lives on for generations—set in the beautiful Black Hill Event Venue located at 84 W 1470 S, St. George, UT 84770.
Your attendance directly supports essential WCHS programs—including museum exhibits, walking tours, oral history projects, lecture series, online archives, historical statues, and much more—promoting and preserving our history, honoring our past, and keeping it accessible for the future.
Throughout the evening, guests will enjoy a gourmet dinner and decadent dessert, celebrate the achievements of outstanding community members during the presentation of the WCHS Distinguished Citizen Award, honoring George Staheli and Carmen Snow, and learn about WCHS’s mission and accomplishments in preserving and sharing our local heritage. The night also features an exciting drawing with an incredible lineup of premium prizes given to guests throughout the evening. Attendees can browse and bid on the silent auction items before and after the main program, with final bidding closing at the end of the night, offering plenty of time to mingle and connect with fellow community members. This will be a night to remember!
