WAYLINER WORKSHOP
Make a pair of Palazzo trousers with the help of the amazing Wayliner

WITH FREE Sew Creates Peony Trouser Pattern!!...pictured below.
On this one day workshop you will make a pair of elasticated waist palazzo trousers using the included Peony trouser pattern. The Wayliner will be used to make certain aspects of construction easier and more professional looking.
You will need to bring your chosen fabric in order to make the trousers. In order to decide which size you will make compare your actual hip measurement to the chart below. Do not worry if the waist measurement appears small compared to your measurement because the final size will be determined by the length of elastic used.
Suitable fabrics could include lightweight viscose, cotton lawn or chambray. Ideally, the fabric will have a soft handle and drape. Slightly stiffer fabrics will stand away from the body more.
Please see chart at the bottom of this page for how much fabric you need. The black text is your measurem,ents and the green in the finished garment measurements.
You will also need:-
Matching thread
38 mm wide elastic cut to the length of your waist measurement - stretch the elastic around you until it is comfortable and allow 3 cm extra for overlap. Elastic can vary a lot on how stretchy or firm it is.

- You will also need to bring a basic sewing kit and a packed lunch.
