Paint Fruit Blossoms in Watercolour with Jan LawnikanisJoin award-winning artist and experienced tutor Jan Lawnikanis for a relaxing, hands-on watercolour workshop inspired by the delicate beauty of fruit blossoms.
Whether you're new to watercolour or looking to build your skills, Jan's supportive, step-by-step approach will guide you through creating a beautiful A4 floral painting. With over 30 years of teaching experience and more than 270 workshops delivered across Australia, Jan is renowned for making art accessible, enjoyable and rewarding for artists of all levels.
Using a provided blossom template and reference images, you'll learn a range of essential watercolour techniques, including:
🎨 Flat and graduated washes
🎨 Creating hard and soft edges
🎨 Lifting and correcting color
🎨 Building transparent layers
🎨 Developing depth, softness and luminosity in your painting
By the end of the workshop, you'll take home your own completed fruit blossom watercolour artwork, along with practical techniques you can continue to explore in future paintings.

About the Artist
Jan Lawnikanis is an award-winning artist, educator and author whose work has appeared in Australian Artist Magazine, Art Edit, and numerous Australian and international publications. Her teaching expertise and passion for sharing creative skills have earned her an outstanding reputation among students of all ages. This workshop is in association with her exhibition 'Assigned to Bloom' at the Gympie Regional Gallery from 16 October - 21 November.
