Ready to take your watercolor skills in a new direction? Explore the negative painting technique as we create a small pile of colorful, layered leaves. We’ll spend the first part of class practicing this method and discovering different ways to approach leaf shapes, layers, and possible compositions.In the second part of class, participants will select leaf shapes to draw or trace before creating a watercolor painting using the color palette of their choice. Participants are welcome to bring their own leaves to use as references or to trace.
Prerequisite: Participants must have previously completed Watercolor 101 at 577 to register for this class.

She is also a professional artist, holds a BFA degree with concentrations in drawing, painting, and art history, and has worked for many years as a pottery and painting instructor.
