Join the Heard Museum for the first session of Outdoor Art-Making in this winter series!Enjoy the season’s perfect weather and join us outdoors for a relaxed watercolor-painting experience in anticipation of the upcoming exhibition Kay WalkingStick / Hudson River School. The exhibition places the work of Cherokee artist Kay WalkingStick in conversation with Hudson River School paintings, exploring how landscapes can hold memory, history, and identity.
Find a comfortable spot in the South Courtyard next to the Heard Museum’s original entrance, be inspired by Indigenous creativity, and reflect on the stories we all carry about the lands we inhabit. This is a welcoming, drop-in activity for all ages and all experience levels.
