Emerald Keepers is proud to sponsor the Water Summit at San Diego Climate Week on Thursday, October 1, bringing together community members, advocates, nonprofits and leaders from the United States, Mexico and Tribal nations to address the Tijuana River sewage crisis, ocean resilience and regional water security.
🌊 4:00–5:00 PM | PADDLE OUT FOR CLEAN WATER
📍 Glorietta Bay Beach Boathouse / Glorietta Bay Park

The day begins with a ceremonial Paddle Out for Clean Water on Glorietta Bay. Bring your own board or kayak if you have one.
Paddle Out Schedule:
4:00–4:15 PM — Sign in, watercraft, suit up & sign making
4:15–4:30 PM — Welcome & Action Briefing
4:30–4:50 PM — Paddle Out & Prayer with the Ocean
4:50–5:00 PM — Wrap-up, showers & head to the Summit
💧 5:00–8:00 PM | WATER SUMMIT

5:00–6:00 PM — Make Waves Fair
Connect with nonprofits working in public health, binational advocacy and coastal preservation while enjoying light bites and learning how to get involved.
6:00–7:00 PM — Tri-National Expert Panel
Hear leaders from both sides of the border and Tribal nations discuss the current state of the Tijuana River sewage crisis and what it will take to create lasting solutions.
7:00–7:30 PM — Action-Oriented Breakout Sessions
Move from discussion to action through smaller working groups focused on practical solutions, policy and community restoration.
7:30–8:00 PM — Closing Remarks & Call to Action
