About this Event
What can a voice do? It can inspire hope, offer comfort, challenge injustice, ignite change, and remind us of our shared humanity. But a voice can also silence, divide, and oppress. The power of the human voice lies not only in what it can express, but in how we choose to use it.
What Our Voices Can Do explores the many ways our voices shape our world. Blending traditional choral music, spirituals, gospel, pop, poetry, narration, and storytelling, Songbird Vocal Arts explores the voice as an instrument of faith, resistance, healing, self-discovery, and transformation.
Through songs, poems, and stories of prayer, protest, perseverance, and possibility, we are reminded that our voices can bear witness to injustice, nurture community, and help us imagine a better world.
We invite you to reflect on the influence we hold, the stories we tell, and the responsibility that comes with being heard. Every voice has the potential to build or destroy, uplift or diminish, unite or divide.
What will you do with the power of your voice?
